Initation and Retreat
Have you been wishing that you could get out of the city and away from doing ritual in buildings to conduct your next initation? Do you have a group that needs some time together in a natural environment? Are you an Ìyá or Bàbá that just needs some time to rest and reflect?
Ibi Ifàyabalè is the answer!
Located in Belize, a mere two and a half hours flight from Miami or Houston, Ibi Ifàyabalè is a part of Ilé Ìjo Òrúnmìlà Àti Òrìsà. The Ilé is only three miles from San Ignacio in the Western part of the country and yet it has a remote feel. Five acres that is still mostly forest, lends to the atmosphere.
It is a wonderous thing to have an outdoor Igbodu and to have the freedom and feeling of complete relaxation when involved in ritual. Ibi Ifàyabalè has the facilities to support a well run initiation or to have a group retreat. On the other hand, you may want to come here for an individual retreat. That, too can be arranged.
The grounds are under continuous change and improvement with the planting of fruit trees and flowers. However, much is left untouched for the sake of the environment and for access to the spiritual source of Òrìsà. It is not unusual to see orchids or humming birds and at certain times of the year you can see the elusive toucan.
Directly across the road is the Mopan River facilitating Osun rituals.

Facilities
Ibi Ifàyabalè can provide for all of your Òrìsà and Ifá needs. If you are planning a retreat, the Shrine of the Ancestors as well as the Nakumbuka Shrine ("We Remember") is open for libation and other ancestor ceremonies. There are countless locations on the property for ritual activities. For initiations, all of the requirements are readily available, including animals and other material supplies.
Meeting and Dining Area
The Ilé has two kitchens--one indoors and one outdoors. Meals can be self-catered or prepared depending upon your budget and inclination. There is a bedroom with a king size bed and floor space that can sleep up to 7 people. Additional accommodations for others can be obtained within the village of Bullet Tree Falls.
