What's the Latest

Things are constantly growing and changing in the Ilé. As we work on growing our businesses, we have added a market page right here in the web-site as the start to ultimately marketing our own products in the future.

Àjàmú Molá is old news since he has been around a whole eight months and we welcomed the birth of Adéníkèé Ifáyemì in May and she attended her first gathering. These precious children demonstrate the power of the ire of our Ilé.

Annual Gathering 2010

Countdown to the Gathering

311 days
until we're together again in Belize!

Yes, we went snorkeling. Just imagine almost all of us out in the water seeing fish, coral, colors, sharks and stingray. Only two cowards remained on the boat but we won't name names, YET! Afterall, someone had to stay with the babies, right¿ (yes it is upside down on purpose)

After four days at the Caye, everyone was ready to get to work (just kidding), but we did anyway and all rituals and Itas were completed in the time we had. It was a lot of hard work but as always worth it as we almost immediately see evidence of spirit in things emerging since the Gathering.

Divination of the Year 2010 through 2011

The Odù of the Year, Òsé Òbàrà, which instructed all Ilé in the Òrìsà Ifá global community to make ebo to to achieve financial progress. One major message is that Ifá enjoins all devotees to avoid adultery, deceit and separations. We are to protect the weak and defenseless and avoid nefarious acts. Our Ilé completed the rituals at the gathering.

We thank the Elders of Ifá for coming together to perform the rituals and give us the guidance for the year. For the details of this divination, you can visit.

Vision Statement

Baba Medahochi

We give great honor to and follow the path laid before us by Olúwo Medahochi Kofi Omowale Zannu (ìbà ará tÒrun) who taught us that since we come from many locations on the continent, we should embrace the complexity of spiritual systems to find the healing and reconnection that we so desperately need. Our Ilé functions to nurture the tenents of Ìwà Rere (good character) and the reawakening of the very best of Afrikan culture.

To accomplish this, we embrace the ideology of Pan Africanism, environmentalism, holistic health, accurate historical education and Spiritual reconnection to Afrikan traditions. If you like what you have read so far, you may go here and get the whole document.

Our Children

...child offers a light and a motivation to do better every day. What can be said about children whose smiles melt your heart. Our children of the global African community are as adorable as the ones that we have in the Ilé. In their eyes is the demand for a better future, not with money and comforts but with peace and connections between and among African people. What they demand is something that is sustainable.

Adopt A School

The project this year that Ìyá is undertaking to install tile in the Library. Three years ago, we gave the school books and they had so enjoyed them but the library floor is cement and the dust gets to be a little too much. Ceramic tile will help to keep the place looking good and also be inviting for the children to come in to read.
